The new standard for
observing, recording, and playback of eye movements allows simultaneous
subjective observation of your patient's eye movements and objective
collection and analysis of eye movement waveforms during vestibular
testing and rehabilitation. In addition to patient comfort, VisualEyes
has been designed for maximum flexibility and ease of use. The laptop
VisualEyes system is ideally suited for portability and space
savings.

Software
Features
VisualEyes
Laptop VNG utilizes Micromedical's Spectrum
software that features EyeMax digital video recording, allowing you to:
- Digitally record eye
movement video and audio for the entire test.
- Directly correlate the
video to the eye position data via a scrolling time marker during
playback in analysis.
- Measures horizontal and
vertical eye movements.
VisualEyes
Laptop VNG gives you unsurpassed efficiency in testing your patients
with the following additional features in testing and analysis.
- Iris Calibration - Instead
of calibrating the patient's eye movements against the digital light
bar or LCD projector stimulus, the calibration values can be
obtained by measuring the patient's iris diameter. This gives the
tester the ability to recalibrate the patient's eyes if needed when
vision is denied during positional and Dix-Hallpike tests as well as
caloric tests.
- Auto-Threshold - Adjusting
the threshold sliders for each patient can be a cumbersome task to
tweak the level perfectly. Now Spectrum can automatically determine
the desired threshold level with the click of a button.
- Analysis Retracking - When
the EyeMax video is recorded for the test, the eye data can be
reacquired from the saved video. With an adjustable threshold
setting in analysis, the data can remove noise in the data due to an
inadequate threshold setting. Auto-Threshold is also available
during Analysis Retracking.
- Pupillometry - In addition
to recording the horizontal and vertical locations of the pupil, the
pupil diameter's size can be tracked. When analyzed, Spectrum
calculates and reports the change in the pupil diameter size and the
length of time taken.
